The ASME Nanotechnology Institute is dedicated to the advancement of nanotechnology welcoming engineers, scientists, finance and business professionals, government leaders, and students. Members assist in the dissemination and development of knowledge, and have the opportunity to lead ASME through this period of scientific revolution and opportunity. The ASME NanoEngineering Council is an interdisciplinary team with a mission to foster collaboration among ASME’s technical divisions and provide opportunities for technical interaction collaboration among nanotechnology researchers, practitioners and enthusiasts.
The ASME NanoEngineering Council is the governing body of the ASME Nanotechnology Institute. The Council oversees, promotes and collaborates on all Institute activities.
The NanoEngineering Council has two Steering Comittees: Nanoengineering for Medicine and Biology (NEMB) and Nanoengineering for Energy and Sustainability (NEES).
Mission: Provide venues for knowledge creation and exchange to engage academic researchers, industry leaders, government agencies, policy makers and educators to expedite innovation, facilitate interdisciplinary research and education, work-force development, and technology transfer of key nanoengineering technologies.
Vision: Become a global leader in content development and convener of nanoengineering-related activities to address global societal challenges in energy, health, and environment.
